Relience Big Enetratainemnt with proerties like Zapak.com ,BigAdda.com etc. is in the process of launching online ad market place ,this follows a global trend where instead of depending on third party ad networks for revenues ,media houses/site owners are creating their own networks.
In this is case it is an automated advertising exchange for buying and selling inventory ,bit of Right Media like model.
Google AdWords Content with Double Click tadka
Google is integrating some functionalist of recently acquired Double Click with Adwords ,where on the content network ,following would be available :
- Frequency Capping :Advertisers will be able to limit the number of time the users can see their ad.
- Frequency Reporting :How many times on average users are seeing the ads.
- View through conversion :How many saw the ad (and not clicked) but visited the site.
Its raining networks in India
AOL is al set to launch Platform-A in August or September,in the process advertising.com ,which is part of Platform-A ,will make its Indian debut.
Invizi Ad Network ,has been launched by Games2Win ,with adSense like model for in game advertising.
People Online new ad network in town
People group which owns Shadi ,Makaan, and Fropper.com besides mVAS company Mauj to launch its adnetwork that will represent a number of asian site.
While we have new networks on a regular basis in India ,the trend abroad is quite the opposite where Turner (part of Time Warner) has created its own network for its 19 web properties including cnn.com ,also ESPN.com which has severed its ties with various ad networks.
Google Ad Manager for publishers
Google has launched (in beta) hosted ad management solution for publishers-AdManager,the solution helps deliver and optimize ad inventory for both directly sold and network based inventory (including adSense) and yes its free.
Another player in the same space is OpenAds now known as OpenX ,which at the moment is not a hosted solution.
Microsoft wants to do away with ad clicks
Microsoft is launching engagement mapping ROI beta from March 1, as per their “engagement mapping” concept.
MS engagement mapping is about mapping is about how each ad exposure at multiple sites ,multiple channels and multiple times ,influenced an eventual purchase rather then the generally followed and acceptable “last click” approach.
Though it remains to be seen as to how they go about doing it.
MSN launches its Ad Platform in India
MSN launches its Ad Platform in India ,has partnered with publishers like Bollywood Hungama (entertainment), Equitymaster.com (finance), HDFC Sec (finance) and, well, Facebook (social networking) for the launch of its “Microsoft Digital Advertising Solutions” platform. NDTV Media will do advertising sales for Microsoft.
